How to track user acquisition and social media activity with Piwik PRO?
One of the first steps in becoming a successful web analytic specialist is recognizing which sources of traffic are important and which ones you should invest in. Without knowing your traffic sources, you are constantly losing valuable information and basically losing money.
To check user acquisition and social media activity, please go to the Actions Reports -> Referrers -> Websites & Social. This report provides you a list of all websites (including social network websites) which sent visitors to you, along with the number of visits from each website.
You can check out the exact URL of the referrer and learn which fan page or social media profile brought your visitors to your website. You’ll also be able to compare the effectiveness of each network with such metrics as bounce rate, actions per visit and average time spent on the website.
