Some privacy laws require you not only to ask for consents but also to add privacy settings and a request form to your privacy policy. We’ve got two of these options available in Consent Manager, and we’ll show you how to set them up.
Privacy settings
First, you can add privacy settings to your privacy policy. We prepared a code for you that you can paste on your page in any place you want. The code will display a short paragraph with a button. When visitors click on this button, they can set their privacy settings.

To edit and set up privacy settings, follow these steps:
Available from version 16.0.0. For versions below 16.0.0, go to Menu > Consent Manager > Consent templates.
- Go to Menu > Consent Manager.
- From the website picker, choose the website you want to work with.
- Navigate to Forms > Privacy policy.
- Choose in which language you want to edit your privacy settings.
Note: You can add a language in Menu > Consent Manager > Settings > Languages. Read more
- In Privacy settings on your page, click Edit.
- Edit the paragraph in the editor.
- When you’re done, click Save.
- Click View the code.
- Click Copy to clipboard and paste to your privacy policy.
Form to collect data requests
You can also add a form that visitors can use to access, change or delete their data. When they submit the form, you’ll see it under Consent Manager > Requests from visitors.

To edit and set up a request form, follow these steps:
Available from version 16.0.0. For versions below 16.0.0, go to Menu > Consent Manager > Consent templates.

- From the website picker, choose the website you want to work with.
- Navigate to Forms > Privacy policy.
- Choose in which language you want to edit your form.
- In Form to collect data requests, click Edit.
- Edit your form in the editor.
- When you’re done, click Save.
- You can edit a success and error message in the same way.
- Click View the code.
- Click Copy to clipboard and paste on your privacy policy page.
