Use people live view to turn real-time user and visitor activity into audiences:
To turn real-time activity of your site or app’s users and visitors into audiences, follow these steps:
1. Go to Menu > Customer Data Platform.
2. Navigate to People.
3. Watch new users and visitors show up as they interact with your site. This confirms tracking is working correctly.
4. Some profiles will be marked with a Goal Completed
label. This means the user or visitor has taken an action linked to one of your business goals, like signing up or making a purchase.

Note: If you can’t see any Goal completed
labels, check if you have any goals set up in Menu > Analytics > Goals.
5. Click + Create Audience next to the user or visitor’s profile.

6. Name your audience.
7. The main condition will be prefilled. Example: Goal name is Sign up
. Optionally, you can create additional conditions.

8. Click Save.
Note: You can view your newly created audience in Menu > CDP > Audiences. From now on, all users and visitors meeting the same conditions will be automatically added to this audience.

9. Once you’ve built an audience, you can activate the data using webhooks or external tools.
Examples:
- Alert your sales team when a high-value user returns
- Send a welcome message to new signups
- Trigger a retarge
Note: You can also personalize the visitor’s experience on your site or app by using our audience detection trigger.
Examples:
- A modal popup offering a promo to a user who hasn’t made a purchase yet
- A personalized “Hi there” message that shows the user’s name when they’re logged in
- A newsletter signup form with the user’s email address prefilled
10. After activation, track how your actions impact conversions, engagement, or revenue in Menu > Analytics.
11. Well done!
