Consent Manager Overview
Consent Manager lets you collect consents to data collection and manage data subject requests so that you comply with GDPR regulations and respect privacy of visitors. At any time, people on your website can ask for data erasure, rectification, access, and portability. And you can view all requests, consent status of any visitor, and the history of the requests.
By default, the GDPR compliance is turned on and first-time visitors see a consent form asking for permission to collect data. Depending on what types of tags you’re using, the form will ask for a specific purpose of data collection. For example, analytics, conversion tracking, remarketing, and more.
Consent Manager is tightly connected to Tag Manager. When a visitor agrees on certain data collection then tags that use these data will fire. For example, analytics, conversion tracking, remarketing, and more. Tags that do not require any consent will work as usual. To learn which tags require consent according to GDPR and how to set the consent category, read on the tag setup article.
In Consent Manager, you can view and manage data requests.
By looking at Insights, you can see information about decisions made by visitors and the breakdown of consent types.
