What is GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation is a European Union law that came into force on 25th of May 2018. GDPR requires significant internal changes and new technologies to provide top-notch data security measures. It applies to all twenty-eight European Union member states and to entities and organizations outside the EU when processing the data of citizens within it. The fine for not being GDPR-compliance can be up to €20 million or 4% of annual global turnover, whichever is greater.
