You can find this section when entering Websites and then creating a new website or clicking on any of the existing ones.
Name – changes the name of the site (this is the name that will be used in Piwik PRO Marketing Suite reports)
URLs – Add or modify the URLs of a webpage. You can specify here multiple URLs (every URL needs to start with http:// or https://)
Exact match URLs when tracking – activate this setting to set up Analytics to only track visits and actions when URLs starts with specified URLs above (for more information please take a look here.).
Keep page URL fragments when tracking – deactivate this setting to exclude Page URL fragments (everything after #, e.g. example.org/index.html#first_section will be tracked as example.org.index.html)
Timezone – allows to specify the timezone for your website, and tracked data will show date & time of this time zone. Please note that changing the timezone will not affect previous logs in reports.
Currency – specifies the default currency for Goal revenues shown in Analytics. By default, Piwik PRO reports display revenue in US dollars.
E-commerce tracking – enables e-commerce reports, additional tab is shown in Analytics module with e-commerce logs. Sales can be easily tracked using this setting. To read more about it please take a look here.
GDPR compliance – enables collection of privacy consent to make sure the website is GDPR-compliant (for more info please take a look here.)
Custom privacy cookie domains – it enables sharing the consent between multiple subdomains. Once the visitor agrees to the consent on one domain it will be also applied to another domains and user will not be prompted for consent there. In this case, both websites have to have implemented the same tag snippet. You can also pick here the privacy cookie expiration period between 1 day, 14 days, 30 days, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, 2 years, and 3 years.
Site search tracking – enables tracking site searches on your webpages. Under ‘Query parameters’ you have to specify query parameters used, so Piwik PRO Marketing Suite can trigger site search tracking. (for more info please take a look here.
Delay – is slowing down the page load. For instance, if a link is clicked on a webpage and this causes a new page to load it is being slowed down, so appropriate events and/or tags can be tracked and fired. Without this setting, if the page loads it may happen that some tags won’t fire because the page will reload too fast.
a) Excluded IPs – there you can enter the list of IPs that you wish to exclude from being tracked by Piwik. It is possible to use wildcards eg. 1.2.*.* Example of a good practice would be excluding your internal IPs from the website. (more info can be found here)
b) Excluded URL parameters – You can exclude various parameters from the URLs so that they will not appear in the “Actions -> Pages” report. Once you enter the parameters to exclude from your URLs, please note that it will only influence the data that will be tracked after the settings change. (URL parameters will not be erased from your previous reports).
c) Excluded User Agents – If the visitor’s user agent string contains any of the strings you specify, the visitor will be excluded from tracking.
